It’s one of our favorite days of the year… NATIONAL MARGARITA DAY! There is nothing like a refreshing margarita that makes you feel like you’re right out on the beach. Margs are always a hit for girls night, vacation, a yummy mexican dinner, and you know where else? PARTIES.
Some of my favorite weddings I’ve attended have used margaritas as their signature drink. Some are spicy, some are sweet – ALL ARE GOOD.
One of my favorite margaritas is one I had at the Four Seasons Baltimore in the previously Michael Mina owned restaurant, Wit & Wisdom. I was able to track down one of my bartender friends there to get the recipe of what I felt was the PERFECT margarita just in case my brides may want to have it as a feature drink!
- 1.5 oz Espolon Blanco Tequila
- .75 oz fresh lime juice
- .75 oz simple syrup
- .25 oz Combier (triple sec)
Add all ingredients to a shaker tin, fill with ice and shake for 10-15 seconds. Salt the rim of a rocks glass, add ice, and pour the contents of the shaker tin into the the glass. Garnish with a lime and viola!
